The pilgrims will be joining us for a Eucharistic Procession through Westminster\, ending at the church with an hour of adoration. \nDeparture Point: Westminster City Park\nEnd Point: St. John Church \nJoin the pilgrims and our parish family afterwards for a meal and a talk about Mother Seton in the Portico! RSVP to the dinner here so we have a head count for food. \nThis procession will only utilize the sidewalks in downtown Westminster. \nThe Footsteps of Mother Seton Pilgrimage\nIn this pilgrimage organized by the Elizabeth Ann Seton Shrine\, pilgrims will walk and pray along the same path Mother Seton took from Baltimore to Emmitsburg in 1809. The journey begins June 19 with 7am Mass at the Baltimore Basilica\, visiting three Jubilee sites and four parishes. It concludes on June 22\, the Feast of Corpus Christi—also the day Mother Seton arrived. Along the way\, there will be Eucharistic processions\, holy hours\, Mass\, rosaries\, and community meals. DESCRIPTION:Explore our Christian children’s museum prototype exhibits! \nBack in 2022\, our parish entered an innovation challenge and we won the chance to develop the very first interactive Christian children’s museum in Carroll County into existence. Since then\, our design team has prayed and reshaped what began as “St. Nick’s Workshop” to become The Wonder Station: A place where young hearts can play\, discover and believe. \nWe’re excited to present a Pop-Up Prototype of this exciting project to the public! Come to the Portico from September 12-14 to explore\, play\, and interact with our exhibits\, but keep in mind—it’s not the finished product. DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the Church’s newest saints! \nIn honor of the canonizations of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati and Blessed Carlo Acutis on September 7\, our parish family is coming together for a potluck meal in the Portico to celebrate these new saints. Main dishes and drinks will be provided by the parish. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share! Sign up to bring food here. \nAn hour of outdoor adoration follows dinner at 7pm!\nBring your own chairs or blankets. In the event of rain\, adoration will be inside the church.\n  \nBl. Pier Giorgio Frassati (1901-1925)\nPier was a young Italian man who was affectionately called the “Man of the Beatitudes” by St. John Paul II for his exemplary work of bringing comfort and happiness to those who were poor\, suffering\, meek\, hungry\, thirsty\, and in need of mercy\, and who was himself clean of heart\, a peacemaker\, and persecuted for the sake of the Gospel (cf. Mt 5:3-10). He died at the young adult age of 24 while in charitable service to the people who were sick and dying in his community. (USCCB) \nBl. Carlo Acutis (1991 – 2006)\nAn Italian teenager who died from leukemia\, Carlo was a gamer and computer programmer who loved the Eucharist\, a devotion that inspired him to create a website documenting Eucharistic miracles. He will be the Church’s first millennial saint!
