SUMMARY:Life Teen Bike Trip
DESCRIPTION:BIKE TRIP!!   It’s time again!  We will be biking on the North Central Railroad Trail near Cockeysville and we will leave St John at 8:30am (be there by 8:15) and return around 4/4:30pm.  We will be biking a couple hours\, eat lunch beside a beautiful stream\, and relax/play a while before the return trip.  The stream has a little swimming hole\, so wear a dark t-shirt and something you can get wet if you like (it always feels great!). The trail is relatively flat and shaded.  Everyone needs to bring their bike\, a couple water bottles\, their lunch\, and a small backpack or some way to carry their things.  The only cost will be $5.00 per teen for expenses and a couple bucks to buy a treat on the way home.  It was a great trip last year and a good way to get some exercise while enjoying God’s creation.  Please RSVP as soon as you can to kbrown@sjwest.org or 410-848-8443 x239.

DESCRIPTION:All women are invited to the Well-Read Woman\, a once a month reading group which includes great books\, spiritual classics\, poetry\, and selected essays from the Catholic and Western tradition.  Well-Read Woman is an opportunity for women to reclaim time to read the best literature as well as to glean spiritual insights from great works of art.  Our introductory meeting will be on September 11 at 7 PM in the St. Therese Room. DESCRIPTION:God has a history of making order out of chaos. In the beginning\, He formed all of creation out of a dark void. In the Psalms\, He makes wars cease and there is stillness and peace in Him. In the Gospels\, Jesus calmed the wild seas when the disciples were caught and afraid for their lives in a storm. Jesus’ very mission on this earth was to bring the order of redemption out of the chaos of the fall. The goal of this retreat is to invite teens out of their chaos into a relationship with God while encouraging them to allow God to continue His creative work in them and live a life grafted into Him. \nAttention ALL High School Teens! Come\, Join us for our FALL RETREAT\, CHAOS!  Let’s face it…our lives are a little CHAOTIC!  Make sure this weekend is free for a chance to just get away for an amazing\, fun time with other teens and a chance to break through the CHAOS.  We have some great new events planned for this year!  The retreat will take place at nearby Camp Hashawha and the cost will be just $75.00 per teen and include the facility\, all food\, etc. (as always do not let money be the reason for not attending\, please just contact us).  Please RSVP as soon as possible and by September 3rd at the latest to Kevin Brown at kbrown@sjwest.org or 410-848-8443 x239.

He entered the Franciscan Missionaries of the Eternal Word in 2002 and professed final vows on August 14\, 2008. Fr. Patrick studied at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg\, Maryland\, and was ordained to the priesthood on June 2\, 2012.
