SUMMARY:XLT Adoration
DESCRIPTION:XLT is a once-a-month gathering for ALL of our St. John parishioners.  Every XLT has powerful and inspiring talks\, a prayerful Eucharistic Adoration accompanied by music\, silence\, meditation and scripture readings. The idea behind an XLT (exalt) is to provide several different types of prayer to lead the faithful in prayer and draw them together as a community. We begin after the 6:00pm Mass. 🙂 bring the entire family!

SUMMARY:Mothering with Grace
DESCRIPTION:All mothers are invited to attend MOTHERING WITH GRACE on Wednesdays during the summer. The mission of Mothering with Grace is to help mothers grow in holiness through their vocations as wives and mothers. Each meeting will reflect a different virtue and we will discuss how to live that virtue out in the world. Childcare is available (a small donation is requested). SUMMARY:ELEVATE: Steubenville Youth Conf.
DESCRIPTION:Please pray for our youth. \nNotes about going: Please be at St. John Church at least 15 minutes early (6:15 am) for a 6:30 a.m. Mass on Friday.  Please arrive with your luggage labelled  with your LAST NAME.  We will have masking tape and markers for you if you forget.  You will put all the luggage in the narthex of the church during Mass.  After Mass is over around 7:00 am\, we will load the bus and be off. \nArrival Information\nWhen we arrive at Steubenville\, we will call St. John and let them know we have arrived safely.  Feel free to call (410) 848-4744 after 3:00 p.m. to check.  Your teens will also be permitted to use their cell phones this one time during the conference if you would like to hear from them personally. \nWe will leave Steubenville by 1:00- 1:30 p.m. on Sunday\, and will arrive back at St. John at approximately 7:00 -7:30 p.m.  When we pass Frederick\, the teens will be given the chance to call you with a more specific arrival time.  Just as an FYI\, we sometimes run into thunderstorms on the drive home that could delay us.  Also\, your teen needs to save $5-10 for some fast food dinner on the way home.

DESCRIPTION:Child Safety Community Day \nSt. John Campus-Saturday\, July 15th \n10am – 2pm \nDon’t miss the opportunity during our FREE Child Safety Community Day\, to learn important information\, watch demonstrations and connect to valuable resources to keep our children safe. \nWe will have various local community partners sharing valuable information about important child safety topics such as:  sun safety\, seat belt safety\, bike (helmet) safety\, water safety\, poison control\, personal safety (stranger danger) and much more! \nExplore the equipment and tools available to the community to increase awareness and to keep our children safe.  Our community partners will have equipment for display\, demonstrations\, handouts\, give-aways and resources available to the public.  For example\, Westminster Fire Department will have a fire truck on display\, the Carroll County Sheriff’s office and Maryland State Police will also have their vehicles on display.  Tri-Star Martial Arts will be sharing information on personal safety (stranger danger) and the Carroll Hospital Center will be providing information on how to stay safe in the summer sun and heat. \nCall St. John School at 410.848.7455 for additional information\, or visit our website:  https://www.sjwestschool.org/news/community-safety-event \nClick here for the flyer! \n
