DESCRIPTION:Landings:  St. John will begin offering Landings beginning Sunday\, October 1st.  This program helps Catholics who have been away from the Church make a smooth lading as they return to the Faith and Parish Life.  Starting October 1st\, we will meet each Sunday for 8-10 weeks from 9:15-11:00 am in the Parish Center. DESCRIPTION:RCIA begins Sunday\, September 24th:  RCIA provides an opportunity to grow in faith and knowledge of the Catholic Faith and leads to reception in the Catholic Church. We meet each week on Sundays from 9:30-11:30am until Easter to provide an opportunity for prayer\, study\, and discussion. These sessions\, combined with the experience of Mass\, Parish life\, learning about Church tradition\, especially\, the Sacraments\, all work together to bring each participant to a deeper understanding of what our Faith is all about.  If you or someone you know is interested in becoming Catholic\, please email Paul Gallagher at pgallagher@sjwest.org with your contact information.

SUMMARY:XLT Adoration
DESCRIPTION:XLT is a once-a-month gathering for ALL of our St. John parishioners.  Every XLT has powerful and inspiring talks\, a prayerful Eucharistic Adoration accompanied by music\, silence\, meditation and scripture readings. The idea behind an XLT (exalt) is to provide several different types of prayer to lead the faithful in prayer and draw them together as a community. We begin after the 6:00pm Mass. 🙂 bring the entire family!

SUMMARY:Well-Read Woman
DESCRIPTION:All women are invited to the Well-Read Woman\, a once a month reading group which includes great books\, spiritual classics\, poetry\, and selected essays from the Catholic and Western tradition.  Well-Read Woman is an opportunity for women to reclaim time to read the best literature as well as to glean spiritual insights from great works of art.  Our introductory meeting will be on September 11 at 7 PM in the St. Therese Room.
