Middle School Session 2018

Feb. 11th: The Heart of God & The Trinity

Goals: The goal is to introduce teens to the idea that God’s heart is fully oriented toward love and He desires to gift us with new hearts. The middle school youth will develop a deeper understanding of the mystery of the Trinity and the role of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

Feb 25: The Paschal Mystery

Goal: To help the middle school youth understand and apply the Paschal Mystery to their lives.

March 4: The Bible

Goal: To help the middle school youth understand how the Bible was put together and that the Word of God is as living and active today as it was in the days of the biblical writers over 2,000 years ago who were inspired by the Holy Spirit.

March 11: The Mass

Goal: To teach the middle school youth the necessity of full, active, and conscious participation at Mass. The session will include a brief overview of the Mass, emphasize Christ’s true presence at Mass, and give the youth the tools and encouragement they need to fully enter into the Mass every time they attend.

March 18: The Eucharist

Goal: To grow not only in our understanding of what the Eucharist is but to fall more in love with the person of Christ in the Eucharist. The group will make a transition in discussion from the bread that we need to physically sustain ourselves to an appreciation of the Eucharist being our spiritual nourishment. Adoration.
