About Me
Hola! I’m Seminarian Angel. I’m on pastoral year at St. John Westminster.
My name is Angel Acuña. I’m originally from Colombia. I go to Mount St. Mary’s Seminary up in Emmitsburg, but this year I am working full time at St. John. I live on campus (in the rectory). I finished 2nd theology last spring (2021). So, I have two more years to finish my program. Once I complete my pastoral year at St. John, I will return to the Mount to continue 3rd theology. By the end of 4th theology, I’ll be ordained priest for the Archdiocese of Baltimore. I have no family in the USA, but God has blessed me with a larger family: the Archdiocese of Baltimore. In my free time, I like working out, reading, visiting the Blessed Sacrament, watching documentaries on history, philosophy and theology, and of course, as a Colombian, I like drinking coffee. I love coffee so much that I grind my own coffee beans.

Below are a few of my responsibilities. If you have any questions or need help with any of these items, please feel free to reach out to me!
- I help Mr. Diggs with the Altar Servers. Next spring, I am leading an altar server training (for new guys or those who just want to “refresh” their knowledge on serving the altar).
- VirtusOnline screening coordinator
- I coordinate adoration on Thursday over in the school chapel (the Blessed Sacrament is exposed from 8am-3pm).
- I serve Mass on weekdays and weekends.
My Hours
Monday & Tuesday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Thursday: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Friday: 2:30 p.m.-5 p.m.
