Confirmation at St. John: A True Treasure

Over 200 people attended our annual Confirmation Retreat at Summit Lake Camp on January 26th-28th. We were blessed to have with us Fr. Patrick Mary, M.F.V.A., and over 12 additional priests and seminarians! Fr. Mark made his way out to the mountains of Emmitsburg, as well as Fr. Robert from St. Andrew's in Waynesboro, PA. For over 15 years, the little parish has joined us for our retreat after their Confirmation Coordinator, Judy Clement, fervently sought a good retreat for her students. Here is a look into the amazing experience students had this weekend!

Fr. Mark Highlighted as Catholic School Ambassador

The role of the pastor in the life and formation of young disciples in our Catholic schools is indispensable as the "joy of the gospel" calls even the youngest heart into a relationship with the Risen Christ. Our Catholic Schools first and foremost exist to proclaim the gospel. Fr. Mark was featured in a blog article by the Healey Education Foundation which spotlights the strong bond being forged between our parish and school for the mission of the Church as a united community of faith.Fr. Mark is a proud "ambassador" for our Catholic schools, especially Saint John School here in Westminster, Maryland. The Healey blog article can be found HERE.
