The mission of our Healthcare Ministry is to bring Jesus to those who are separated from parish liturgical celebrations due to health issues.
Our Healthcare Ministry team aids our local community in a variety of ways:
Eucharist for the Sick – Eucharistic Ministers bring the Eucharist to the sick or infirm in hospitals, nursing homes, and shut-ins. They regularly visit 14 different care facilities in our area, including Carroll Lutheran Village, Brightview Senior Living, and more.
New Mother Visits – Healthcare Ministers visit Catholic mothers of newborns in Carroll Hospital’s Birthing Center, giving the gift of a Miraculous Medal for the infant.
Mobility Aids – Assistive devices such as wheelchairs, walkers, shower chairs, and bedside commodes are available for loan through Healthcare Ministry.
Contact Judy Dieter for more information about any of these services!
Our greatest need is to be blessed with more volunteers to join us in all we do in this growing parish! Contact Judy if you’d like to get involved as a Healthcare Ministry volunteer.
Volunteers must become a Eucharistic Minister (if not one already) to bring Jesus to the sick.
